Evesham Rotary Club
Meeting notes; Fellowship meeting – Tuesday 22nd August 2017

 

President Chris called the meeting to order at 12.45 and asked Rotarian Frances to say Grace.

No apologies had been notified but there was one non-apology.

There were no guests.

There were no items of correspondence to report to the meeting.

There were no items of members’ welfare to report

Members are requested to note the following;
There will be no meeting on 29th August.
The next meeting of the Club will be held together with Pershore RC on WEDNESDAY 6th SEPTEMBER at 12.30 FOR 12.45 at the Railway Inn.

There will be a social event on 10th September. Please see the notice distributed by Merlin during the meeting or contact him for further details.

President Chris informed the meeting that the Club had raised just over £300 during the ‘JamJar’ collection and that our individual Champion, with a total of £106.40p raised, is John Darby. President Chris had the greatest pleasure in presenting him with the Purple Polio Bear as a reward!

The next Club Council meeting will be held on 5th September at 7.p.m.

Hein van der Steen reminded members of the Cycle Fest at the beginning of September and of the opportunity for the Club to get involved through taking part as Volunteers to help organise the day. He referred to previous emails for further details as to who to contact if anyone is able to help.

As previously notified, President Chris has arranged a Garden Party on 27th August at 3 p.m. and he was pleased to note that so many members are available. He will circulate directions and further details in the next few days.

President Chris reminded members to keep the date of Friday 29th September free for the Foundation Dinner to be held at Rafael’s Restaurant. Menu preferences would be collected in due course before the event.

There being no items of Any Other Business, President Chris closed the meeting at 2 p.m. after he had proposed the Final Toast.
